Therapy where life happens

Mobile NDIS therapy built around everyday life.

Our clinicians travel across Greater Sydney to assess and provide therapy in participants’ homes and suitable community settings.

We begin by listening to your priorities, understanding the relevant parts of your plan and discussing what you would like to work towards. Recommendations are based on clinical assessment, your circumstances and the disability-related goals relevant to the service.

Not sure which discipline is the right starting point? Tell us what is happening in everyday life and what the participant wants to work towards. We can explain which Healthroos service appears most relevant before an appointment is arranged. Meet the Healthroos team.

Our services

NDIS allied health services.

NDIS physiotherapy

Physiotherapy may support disability-related goals involving movement, mobility, transfers, balance, physical capacity and participation. Your physiotherapist assesses current function and develops recommendations suited to the person and their environment.

NDIS occupational therapy

Occupational therapy considers how a person completes everyday activities at home and in the community. It may include functional assessment, routines, skill development, equipment considerations and recommendations about the environment.

NDIS exercise physiology

Exercise physiology uses individually prescribed exercise to work towards disability-related functional goals. Programs may address physical capacity, strength, endurance, movement confidence and participation following assessment.

Functional Capacity Assessments

An FCA examines how disability affects daily activities and participation. The report may describe current function, support needs, barriers and clinically reasoned recommendations. The NDIA—not the assessing clinician—decides what is funded.

Funding pathways

We work with all NDIS plan types.

Self-managed

Invoices can be provided to the participant or nominee. The participant remains responsible for ensuring the support is an NDIS support and is in line with their plan.

Plan-managed

We can coordinate with the nominated plan manager and confirm the consent and invoicing details needed before services begin.

NDIA-managed

As a registered NDIS provider, Healthroos can deliver eligible supports using relevant NDIA-managed funding when the service is available in the participant’s plan.

Combination

Some plans use different management arrangements for different budgets. We confirm the management type that applies to the requested service.

Important funding information: An NDIS plan does not automatically mean every allied health service will be funded. A support must meet current NDIS requirements and be consistent with the participant’s approved plan and available budget. Healthroos cannot approve funding, change a plan or guarantee an NDIA decision.

Read the official NDIS guide to plan management options.

Common questions

NDIS allied health FAQs.

Is Healthroos a registered NDIS provider?

Yes. Healthroos is an independent registered NDIS provider delivering mobile physiotherapy, occupational therapy and exercise physiology across Greater Sydney. Healthroos is not part of, affiliated with or endorsed by the NDIA.

Which NDIS plan types do you accept?

We work with self-managed, plan-managed and NDIA-managed funding, including plans using a combination of management types. The requested service must be appropriate and available through the relevant part of the participant’s plan.

Can NDIS funding be used for physio, OT or exercise physiology?

The NDIS may fund therapy supports when they meet current criteria and are included in the participant’s plan. Funding is individual. Healthroos can explain its services, but only the NDIA can make or change a funding decision.

Do I need a GP referral?

You can contact Healthroos directly or be referred with consent by a support coordinator, nominee or health professional. We will explain if further clinical or funding information is needed.

How quickly will you respond?

We aim to acknowledge new referrals within four business hours. Appointment timing depends on location, discipline, clinical requirements and clinician availability.

Can you provide an NDIS report?

Reports may be available when clinically appropriate. We confirm the purpose, timeframe, information required and fee first. A report may support a planning discussion but cannot guarantee funding or an NDIA decision.

What languages does your team speak?

Team languages include English, Cantonese, Mandarin, Farsi and Korean. Availability varies by discipline and clinician, so include the preferred language in the referral.
